Malarkey BSA A75 Special

 

Chassis: Design and fabrication of complete frame and swingarm. Special consideration made to weight saving, geometry designed for quicker steering (reduced rake and trail) than standard, wheel base kept to a minimum, seat height to suit customer and aesthetics requiring clean lines and neater bracketry. 

Design: Georges Boisniere, Malarkey Engineering. The design was the BSA A75 MK2 US. Design clues carried through to the 21st Century BSA include the tank, side panels, Ray Gun silencers and mud guard bracing. 


Frame: Metal Malarkey Engineering one off T45 tube, bronze welded frame. Mattesse MK3 inspired.  

Swingarm: MME, oval section, internal adjusters 

Hubs: LP Williams CNC'd T150 F,  T160 R
 

Rims: Non valanced, F 18 x 2.5, 40  R 18 x 3.00 40 Alloy

 
Tyres: Avon Road Rider.

F 110/80-18   R 130/70-80

 

Brakes: AP Lockheed 2 pot. Front 2x


Front disc – 300mm semi floating 2X.
Rear disc – 250mm semi floating

Master Cylinders: AP Lockeed

Forks and Yokes: Ceriani Replica

 

Rear Suspension: Maxton Twin shock 

Engine: Rebuilt Rocket 3, T150 Carbs.

Electronics: Motogadget M-Unit, Venhill switch gear, conventional ignition switch. Smiths digital speedo and taco. LED indicators and warning lights. Lucas style front and rear lights. Tri Spark Ignition. Podtronic 3 phase power modual. Tri spark coils.

Exhausts: MME 3 into 2, Ray Gun style silencer. Ceramic coated

 

Rearsets: Barleycorn, Metal Malarkey linkages.

Handlebars: Armours Touring.

Mirrors: Classic style


Seat: Design: Richard Dale/ Metal Malarkey. Seat base: Metal Malarkey. Upholstery with gel pad: Saddle Craft. 

Tinware: Fuel tank - modified and enlarged. Oil tank modified standard. Side panels modified, mudguards front and rear st/st Tail Piece - Hinckley Triumph Thruxton. Std Side P Panels modified.

Lubrication: prolight hose, Swivel seal hose ends

 

Powder coating: Cambrian Powder coaters, Oswestry
